Founded in 1953, SLAT started to produce telecom hardware equipment. Since the 80’s, SLAT focusses on critical applications requiring continuous duty for either lifesaving or asset protection, such as telecom, fire protection, access control, emergency or medical systems.

Since 2010, SLAT has been interested in lithium battery technology and holds numerous patents for Smart Building and Smart City applications.

Aware of climate issues, SLAT has been committed to reducing its carbon emissions since 2015. It does not hesitate to invest in its buildings or production facilities to meet its objectives. A carbon measuring tool provides a global carbon footprint every month. As a result, Scope 1 and 2 carbon footprint has been reduced by 84% compared to 2015. Eco-design choices allowed to extend the lifespan of its products and reduce their carbon footprint. Sustainability is a key focus of its development.
